Five people you would not expect to collaborate together (yes, five) are the members of SLANDER and Above & Beyond. While these two groups live in totally different spheres of the dance music world, SLANDER fans will know that the boys are actually big fans of Above & Beyond.
SLANDER has done at least one edit of Above & Beyond music in the past, which you can check out below, but now they are doing an official remix. SLANDER will put their spin on a track from the brand new Common Ground album. With SLANDER teaming up with NGHTMRE for Gud Vibrations at Ultra as well as EDC Vegas this year we’ll be sure to hear this one on the world’s biggest stages. Any guesses on what track it might be?
In the spirit of love we would like to share that @aboveandbeyond has asked us to remix a song from their new album 🙂

Ephwurd feat. Oneeva – Function
Ephwurd has had a handful of great releases this year but they have one more up their sleeve before the year’s done. The duo consisting of Datsik and Bais Haus has teamed up with the alternative rock duo, Oneeva, for yet another fun banger with ‘Function‘. The track features Oneeva’s soothing vocals during the build up and is followed by a heavy drop similar to their previous tracks. If there is one thing that is certain, it is that when Datsik is on a the track, you can bet it will come with a intense banging drop.
‘Function’ comes as the third single released on Ephwurd’s own record label, Eph’d Up Records following ‘Money’ feat. Fatman Scoop and ‘Phunky Beats’ feat. Jvst Say Yes. You can definitely expect to see more heavy hitting bangers from him coming in 2018. But for now, check out ‘Function’ with Oneeva below.

“Autonomous” has the infectious throbbing bass line that makes it near in possible to not bob your head like a damn bird.
Los Angeles based producer, Julian Gray, dropped his new Autonomous. EP today on mau5trap Records. Julian grew up in a family with a huge appreciation for music – his father was a guitar teacher and his mother loved the new-wave and industrial club scene. The melding of genres is apparent throughout his own work today. The story of how the EP came to be is pretty amusing – check out why below!
“deadmau5 discovered some of my music sometime in 2016. I had met Joel in April of that year at a mau5trap pop-up store at the time. Somehow he knew of my music and was under the assumption I was already an artist on his label, mau5trap. (I still to this day don’t know what it is he initially heard that made him recognized my name). While this was exciting, many months went past and I never heard from Joel or his label management.
In summer 2017, Joel hosted a track critique live stream, and I submitted “Autonomous.” the title track from the album. He instantly knew my name, and again was surprised when he discovered from the chat that I wasn’t an artist on his label.”
“By a crazy turn of events, another DJ/Producer friend of mine was playing Countdown 2017 and via his artist passes, I was able to get backstage into the green room. It just so happened Joel was playing the event as well, and we managed to have a chat about releasing an EP with the label. I was put in contact with management, and at long last, this EP was born. It’s been a long time coming, but I believe that’s what really makes it worth it in the end. it’s some of my best work to date.”
The five-track EP takes the listener on an electric journey through self-proclaimed “progress-o” beats. The opening track “Apathy” dives straight into four minutes of progressive dark techno synthy goodness. “It Is What It Isn’t” is a melodic number with piano chords opening into distorted vocals that are a nice departure from the instrumental-only tracks. “Autonomous” has the infectious throbbing bass line that makes it near in possible to not bob your head like a damn bird. Finally, “Paper Planes” finishes us off with an interesting layering of sounds beautiful melded together. The ending distorted vocals neatly wrap up a very impressive collection of tracks.
