Music is the answer.
Studies continuously show the positive effects that music has on human beings. Neuroscientists have discovered that listening to music heightens positive emotion through the reward centres of our brain, stimulating hits of dopamine that can make us feel good, or even elated. Listening to music also lights up other areas of the brain. In fact, almost no brain centre is left untouched, suggesting more widespread effects and potential uses for music.
It’s no surprise that a new study shows that music is adored by youth in present day. The youth seem to have a higher love for music than older people. Brand agency Amplify has released the findings of their study. Amplify’s study claims that over half of all youth residing in the UK say music is their number one passion.
The study consists of interviews from over 2000 individuals ranging from 18-30 years old across all UK regions and socioeconomic groups. The study touches upon on a variety of topics, including consumption, identity, ethics, success, health, culture, money, tech, careers, relationships, the future and of course, music.
Results show that 49 percent of men and 51 percent of women believe music to be their greatest obsession. In London, 6 out of 10 youth find that they care more about music than anything else. When asked if life without music would be uninteresting, 81 percent said yes. Only 15 percent of respondents find music to be unimportant to them in their daily lives.
Although the ability to listen to free music on such a mass scale is a modern phenomenon, only 37 percent of all respondents believe that all music should be free. 71 percent of recipients, however, think that artists deserve to get paid fairly and are more than willing to pay for subscription-based models such as Apple Music and Spotify.
However you listen to your music, the findings are clear. Music is quite definitely, the answer to all your problems. Check out more results from the study here.

For several years now, cell phone users have had to live with the fear of a potential thief acquiring possession of their device. Many big-name technology companies, such as Samsung and Apple, have attempted to protect their consumers by offering various methods in order to lock your phone and ultimately keep your private information safe. Recently, Vivo defeated their competition as they unleashed a groundbreaking new feature which grants its users the ultimate protection against any form of theft.
The fresh take on device security has taken the tech world by storm. The tool will allow its users to protect their phones by an in-display fingerprint sensor resulting in detecting its rightful owner. Users will have the opportunity to authenticate payments as well as authenticate any other action directly relating to traditional finger-scanning technology.
One lucky reporter had the chance test the new feature, but Vivo has yet to announce the official name of the device. Verge has reported positive reviews relating to the so-called “Clear ID” sensor, however a slight lag in performance has been mentioned.
