A trip to Disneyland is quite the experience itself with the rides and the sights that there’s truly never a wrong time to visit the destination. Add in the experience of attending a music festival to the mix and you get something even more amazing.
That’s what Disneyland Paris did and how they came up with an experience within an experience, a universe “where music meets magic” called Electroland. The event has had success for the last two years of it being held and they are looking to bring it back once more for 2019.
This year’s edition took place at the end June and the line up consisted of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, Robin Schulz, Bob Sinclar and more for two nights full of music and magic.
Afrojack had this to say about the event,
“It’s very special. I’ve always been a fan of Disneyland, and being able to play here is a combination of dreams coming true,” said Afrojack. “The audience was hard party people that jumped a lot. I never dared to expect something like that. It was une grande fête [one big party].”
Vice president of Disney Business Solutions and Special Effects for Disneyland Paris Gustavo Branger even commented on what Electroland brought to the famous park,
“Electroland is a unique experience for music lovers and Disneyland Paris fans alike. It’s an opportunity to enjoy a world-class music festival in a one-of-a-kind setting.”
“Electroland is part of a growing list of upcoming special events like the runDisney weekend, Disney Loves Jazz Festival and Rendez-vous Gourmand that attract both new and repeat guests. These events give them the opportunity to enjoy their favorite resort in a brand-new way.
Dates & artists have not yet been announced for the 2019 edition, but you can head over to the event site to sign up for updates and be the first to know when more information is released.
Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect for next year!

In 2012, an encapsulating new voice emerged from the wider surge of electronic music in the U.S. In an age where internet buzz and carefully plotted stories can take over the industry, ODESZA’s story was refreshingly authentic. The brilliant new duo unveiled their music on the internet, and the world paid attention. Thankfully.
The duo presents a unique sound and fully immersive live show. ODESZA has become a spectacle act for many electronic fans over the past few years. Let’s face it. They’re not stopping anytime soon. And we don’t want them to. After last year’s sold-out, two-night performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, the two Seattle natives embarked on the biggest tour of their career.
This tour showcased brand new material from their ‘A Moment Apart‘ LP, presenting it with a colossal visual set-up, the industry’s top technical professionals, a full cast of star vocal talent and an impressive drum line. Classic ODESZA.
Already, 2018 is shaping up to be quite the year for Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight. They have already been announced to perform at Coachella, and they have created the official anthem for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
What else could they possibly have in store for us?
Well, the two have announced their annual summer return to Red Rocks on Friday, June 15th and June 16th! This announcement follows the spring leg of their nationwide ‘A Moment Apart Tour,’ which sold out Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in December.
In addition, the duo’s upcoming tour includes appearances at Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival in May and Firefly Music Festival in June. The tour will kick off on February 2nd at the Laneway Festival before making its way to Denver this summer.

We’re “Fired Up’ for what the future has in store for Conro
We got the chance to catch up with Canadian DJ/Producer Conro to see how life is going following the release of his new single ‘Fired Up’. 2018 is proving to be his year with hits such as “Take Me There‘ receiving lots of accolades. Next, he’s heading on tour in Asia so we’re happy we got the chance to get a few questions over.
Check out the interview here:
EDM.com: Love the new song, “Fired Up”, can you speak on the creative process? Do the lyrics have any personal ties with you hitting the road on tour?
Thank you! I had been waiting for so long to release this one. I just wanted to keep this song fresh and funky. I have really been diving into the ‘funk’ styles lately and wanted to incorporate slap bass and some serious grooves into this song. I do relate the lyrics to my life, touring and just staying positive on moving forward.
Who do you think has/had the biggest effect on your sound? Where do you draw most of your inspiration from?
I think there hasn’t been one person specifically. But MANY. I’ve loved artists like John Mayer, Band of Horses, Pheonix, MGMT, Kings of Leon, and at the same time I’ve loved listening to artists like Odesza, Porter Robinson, Daft Punk. I believe in what comes in, what I listen to comes out. So I’ve always tried listening to lots of different kinds of music.
I read you’re looking to incorporate more live elements into your sets, ever think about bringing back the violin?
I am definitely bringing live instruments into my live set! Although I don’t think the Violin will be one of them haha. I will focus on Vocals Guitar and Piano.
Any festivals you’re dying to get on the lineup of?
I’ve always dreamed of Coachella.
You started in rock, what artist/group would your younger self would die to collab with?
I would have died to collab with Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon, love his voice and how he writes.
What about the present day, who’s at the top of your list to work with?
I would love to work with hm…. I really admire Charlie Puth, I think he is a top-notch writer and producer, I think we could write something crazy good together.
Do you have any weird rituals to get you “Fired Up” for a show?
Haha, not really. I do like to spend time by myself at some point in the day and just gather my thoughts and get focused for the show.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen on tour thus far?
I have to say the green room in Wuhan in China, It was so cool. We ended up having an afterparty in there till 5 am, we just didn’t want to leave!
If your friends could describe you in 3 words, what would they say?
You’re a goof.

Drum ‘n’ Bass time. British duo Pola & Bryson take the decks this weekend on Beats 1’s weekly radio show, One Mix.
After releasing tunes on prominent labels like Hospital, Liquicity, and Spearhead, the London duo helped launch Soulvent Records, where they released their debut LP, This Time Last Year, an impressive production. Embracing change, they moved on to sign exclusively with Shogun Audio, one of the most renowned DnB labels around.
Today, they’re set to release their sophomore album, Lost In Thought. Contemplative and soulful, energetic and vibrant, the LP is an emphatic piece of work. Tune into the mix to hear goodies from the album like 24/7, Night Dawns, and Stratford Riddim.
Air Date: Friday 24th August 2018 – 21:00 LA / 00:00 NY / 05:00 UK
Tune in here.
The duo also spoke about DnB’s misconception of being all out aggressive and dark, lacking soul and depth. They recalled the time icy weather turned their 2 hour journey from Birmingham to London into a 16 hour nightmare, anticipated DnB rising ahead in the US, and doled out advice for new producers. Read on to see what they had to say!
First show experience?
Hosted our debut EP launch party down at our local pub down in East London, a really nice intimate affair with friends, family and a small number of lovely fans
First time you brought your mom to one of your shows?
Both our mothers came to the aforementioned EP launch party, they had a great time and it was actually the first time they had a chance to meet one-another which was nice. Harrys mum is very into her music and has come to a few festivals we’ve played at but Jacks mum hadn’t seen him play in a club until she decided to join us on a trip to Prague when we played there last year.
The artist who inspired you to become a musician?
We were both too young to really remember what made us become musicians but the artists who inspired us to specifically make Drum & Bass have to be High Contrast and Dilinja.
Go-to places for new music?
Probably other producers within our little circle of friends. We’re always on the hunt for new music via Spotify and Soundcloud etc, but most of the best new tracks we hear about are through word of mouth.
Guilty pleasure record?
Sum 41 – In Too Deep
Desert-island dance record?
London Grammar – If You Wait (Calibre Alternative Remix) – which we don’t have but wish we did
Dream B2B partner?
LSB & Calibre (there’s 2 of us so we get 2 choices)
Piece of gear you always need on the road?
Power Bank, we’re very antisocial at airports and there’s nothing worse than running out of juice
All-time favorite festival?
Sun & Bass, which we not only had the pleasure of visiting for the first time last year but also played alongside Etherwood, Nu:Logic and S.P.Y!
Biggest misconception about dance music?
Dance music, specifically Drum & Bass has for a while had a stereotype of being very aggressive and dark. We love that stuff, but there’s plenty of producers out there making some incredibly soul driven and beautiful music, you just got to know where to look.
City with the most underrated dance scene?
Industry prediction for the next year?
We see more artists starting their own labels and more and more US talent gets welcomed into the scene, not only that but Drum and Bass continues to make more of an imprint in the US scene.
Best piece of advice for new producers?
Take what inspires you from all areas of music and combine them to create something unique and always take your time with your compositions yet stay committed if it’s something you really want to get good at.
Dead or alive, who would be your dream collaborator?
A unique travel experience you’ve had?
We played a show in Birmingham last year, we arrived at the club at around 1am and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. We played our set and headed back to the car at 4am to find a thin layer of snow had settled. We began our 2 hour journey back to London and the snow got heavier and heavier. We had to seek shelter at a service station for a few hours for the sun to come up and hopefully for the visibility to improve, which didn’t happen. It got worse and worse, we finally braved the poor conditions and continued our journey home. The icy conditions coupled with the traffic meant that by the time we got home it was 6pm! That was an absolute nightmare!
What’s your favourite throwback track?
For Jack it has to be Logistics – City Life, just an all round vibey tune. For Harry, Chase & Status – Hurt You.
What’s one track that fans always lose their mind to?
Of ours, it has to be Bad Habit. We always get a great crowd reaction from Calibres remix of Garden by T.E.E.D.
What was the first album you ever bought?
Harry’s was Dom & Roland – Back for the Future and Jack’s was Drum & Bass Essentials – Mixed by DJ Hype
Name one remix that you think is better than the original?
The Calibre alternative remix of ‘Hey Now’ by London Grammar, because it really is that perfect! So simple yet so emotionally effective.
What song would you want (god forbid) played at your funeral?
Eric Idle – Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
What’s the perfect sunset track?
Kool & The Gang – Summer Madness without a shadow of a doubt
What song do you listen to cheer yourself up?
Shadow Child & Bodhi – Um (MJ Cole Remix)
