Following their monumental Garden of Madness Steel Yard show just last week, Creamfields is back with more news on next summer’s festival. Canadian producer deadmau5 has been announced as Friday’s headliner on the infamous Arc Stage. Some will remember his very first show at the UK festival back in 2008, but he hasn’t been back to the fields since his 2017 set with Eric Prydz. Nonetheless, we can only imagine what he will bring visually to his set next year along, with some new music.
This thrilling announcement comes after the massive reveal that Swedish House Mafia will make an exclusive UK performance at the festival. With deadmau5 closing Friday night and Swedish House Mafia closing Sunday, this’ll be a weekend you won’t want to miss. For now, be sure to secure your tickets to the event for you and your friends before it’s too late. Creamfields will be bringing ticket sales back on sale at final 2018 prices this Friday, December 14th at 9am.
As always, we’ll keep you updated on future Creamfields announcements.

Back in 2015, Ultra Music Festival turned to the dark side and enlisted Arcadia Spectacular to put together their brand new RESISTANCE Stage. It featured an abundance of renowned techno DJs from across the world. The most impressive aspect was the new stage, which featured recycled military parts to create a steampunk wonderland.
In 2016, the festival debuted the Arcadia Spider, which was a stage that left everyone speechless. RESISTANCE also spread to Singapore, Paraguay, Peru, Brasil, and Chile for the first time. And now, RESISTANCE will debut its first ever, standalone three-day festival this May in Mexico City!
For those who don’t know, RESISTANCE is Ultra’s curation of the world’s finest house and techno acts. The popularity for these genres has grown immensely since 2015 as the brand has expanded globally. RESISTANCE hosted 33 events across 5 continents in 2017 alone. If you’re tired of hearing the DJ shout “3-2-1-GO!” or simply want a taste of something different and far from mainstream, RESISTANCE is the place to be.
RESISTANCE Mexico City will be taking place at Club de Golf, Teotihuacán on May 25th, 26th and 27th, 2018. Take a look at the official trailer below!

“Jackie Chan” has been purchased/streamed 1 million times over!
Tiësto knows how to pick a team. His mega-collab “Jackie Chan” featuring artists Dzeko, Post Malone, and Preme has officially gone platinum. This means fans have purchased or streamed an equivalent of 1 million times. Tiesto (real name Tijs Michiel Verwest) took to Twitter to share the milestone.
“Jackie Chan” was released back in May and quickly became this year’s summer anthem. Its upbeat, future house vibe paired nicely with Preme and Malone’s signature vocals. The blend of genres created the perfect feelgood bop.
Speaking on the track, Dzeko (real name Julian Dzeko) shared why he thinks pairing hip-hop and EDM is a recipe for success. He said:
“Hip-hop beefs [dance music] up, makes it super energetic. As a DJ, some of the most reactive edits or mashups that you play in your sets are hip-hop. It’s cool seeing how hip-hop artists are actually collaborating on EDM tracks, too. I think it’s really good. It’s definitely something that is going to continue or keep growing — hip-hop artists working with DJs. Tiësto actually did a song with Three 6 Mafia years ago [“Feel It,” 2009]. I’m trying to work with more hip-hop artists, too.”
With the success of the track, Tiësto released the Remixes, Vol.1. There looks to be no stopping the success of “Jackie Chan.”

‘SOLACE’ LP TO BE RELEASED FALL 2018 ON REPRISE RECORDS
The boys are back and I couldn’t be happier. Globally renowned live-electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL release their second offering ‘Underwater’ from forthcoming album ‘SOLACE’. ‘Underwater’ is another glimpse at the band’s on-going evolution, following the band’s debut track ‘No Place.” ‘SOLACE,’ out this fall, promises to elevate RÜFÜS DU SOL’s emotive and captivating sonic storytelling to another level.
With ‘Underwater’, were transported back to the desolate shores of our own mind. Tyrone Lindqvist delivers his euphoric vocals alongside Jon George and James Hunt. Layered with the catchy background hook, the trio has combined their indie house trademark beats with a new tribal elegance that puts the group in a sonic realm of their own. It’s vibey to the max.
The lyrics are emotional, but it’s hard not to smile and groove when you have this beat!
Me right now:
‘Underwater’ arrives in the midst of constant noise surrounding the juggernaut of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s touring schedule. The band moves towards three sold-out shows at both Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall and New York’s Terminal 5, forthcoming sell-outs at London’s O2 Forum and Manchester’s Club Academy, and a standout Halloween performance at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center arena. Additional fall dates include sold-out shows at Emo’s in Austin, TX, The Van Buren in Phoenix, Denver’s The Fillmore, and a festival set at Voodoo Music & Arts Experience.
RÜFÜS DU SOL has spent the past year in Venice, CA, writing and recording the new album, which is largely influenced by the dichotomy of the stark desert landscapes and beautiful coastline of California. It’s a fuller exploration of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ever-evolving musical spectrum, a deeper dive, and a more intimate glimpse into both melancholy and transcendence.
