Amazon appears intent on cornering the festival delivery market (shortly after they invented it).
Sometimes it feels like Amazon‘s influence pervades every facet of our day-to-day lives – and for Coachella attendees, that will include their festival experience. The 2019 edition of the festival will feature lockers devoted solely to package deliveries set up through the e-commerce conglomerate.
The lockers will be available at no additional cost for Coachella attendees who order their packages in advance (or onsite if they select same-day delivery). Festival necessities like sunscreen, lip balm, sun hats, and flower crowns will be available in a specially curated Amazon storefront.
At checkout, customers simply select one of the lockers on the Coachella festival grounds as their shipping address. They will then be emailed a barcode that they’ll use when picking up the package from Amazon staff who will be onsite.
Amazon lockers have been in use outside of festivals in more than 900 U.S. locations. The company also has special pickup locations all over the country.
The 2019 edition of Coachella’s first weekend will run from April 12th-14th, and the second will run from April 19th-21st. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the event website.
