Rezz Reveals Red Rocks Show Date

Red Rocks Amphitheater, arguably one of the most iconic venues in the U.S., will host Rezz on October 13, 2018.

Most of Rezz’s loyal fans a.k.a Cult of Rezz, have been anxiously awaiting this date drop since November 2017 when during one of her shows in Denver, she announced she’d be playing the legendary venue.

Fans were quick to ask their beloved space mom to name the show “Rezz Rocks” and she definitely listened.

The Niagara Falls native dropped the news on her Twitter yesterday, giving her 92k followers their first chance at tickets. Up until January 31st, you can enter a ticket lottery. Choose up to 4 tickets, enter your name and card information and if selected you will get automatically charged. Try your luck here.

Early bird tickets go on sale Friday, with GA prices starting around $35.

And if you’re on the fence about going, or have been living under a (red) rock and have no clue how well-known Red Rocks shows are, just ask residents of Commerce City, Colorado. Back in 2016, Bassnectar played a show at the amphitheater and people 5 miles away literally felt the bass, thinking it was an earthquake.

Suffice to say this is sure to be an out-of-this-world show.

According to Klingande, Autograf and Klingande met back in 2015 on tour and “immediately had a real connection.” Well, we’re thankful for that connection because it brought us ‘Hope For Tomorrow’ and hopefully more in the future.

Jono and Tony of Above & Beyond Speak on Documentary

After a year of incredible and sensational shows, Above & Beyond is ready to take their upcoming Abramorama documentary, Above & Beyond Acoustic: Giving Up The Day Job, for a tour around the world.

The documentary follows the careers of the British trio from the early days, right up to their recent performances, including performances at the Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House and the Hollywood Bowl. It also follows the group in their decision to leave the DJ booth, and instead, release acoustic albums. When they left the electronic music world behind in 2016, they changed the world with their 34-piece orchestra performances. The film is produced by Lundi Shackleton, Adam Booth and Ned Doyle. Executive producers include the trio along with James Grant, Steve Heaver, Steve Jamison, Mike Brett, Sheira Rees-Davies and Alex Kaplan.

In a recent interview on BUILDseries.com, Jono Grant and Tony McGuinness of Above & Beyond speak about their documentary. McGuinness reveals that it actually took the group a long time to convince themselves that they were actually able to perform acoustically. He also explains the decision behind re-creating their own songs into acoustic versions, instead of creating entirely new tracks. The idea of turning their traditional songs into acoustic songs was a beautiful decision. Quite honestly, one of them will probably end up being my wedding song some day.

Watch the interview below and see how passionate both of these artists really are about their decision to go acoustic:

Hopefully you can catch the film in theaters when it comes to your city!

Apple Halves iPhone X Production After Disappointing Holiday Sales

The iPhone X was expected to be a huge game-changer for Apple with many the new features it was said to offer. Holiday sales were expected to be great but after sales declining, Apple has decided action.

According to recent reports, Apple is looking to cut current production targets of 40 million units in the quarter to half totaling 20 million units as inventories have swelled. The production cuts are also expected to “have a domino effect on manufacturers” supplying parts for the iPhone X, with a likely impact totaling billions of dollars.

One possible reason behind this move is being attributed to the slowdown on their expected shifts from LED to OLED screens. Other reports coming out are forecasting that Apple plans to release a larger OLED version of the iPhone X and a mid-range LED model later this year, creating another a possible reason for the production cut.

It seems as though Apple may discontinue the initial iPhone X model rather than lower the selling price on the device reports are suggest.

If the iPhone X model is phased out soon, this would be similar to what Apple did with the iPhone 5C years back. We’ll have to stay tuned to see what further changes Apple makes to the iPhone X.

Tomorrowland Shares New Batch of 2018 Artists

As we truck through the tough winter months, festival announcements and lineups always bring us some joy. For those who need a little memory refresh, Tomorrowland takes place in Belgium in July and is arguably the world’s best music festival. Hundreds of thousands gather every year to descend on Tomorrowland, and make new friends and memories. Tickets sell out in minutes every year and the theme for 2018 is The Story of Planaxis. That certainly means there will be an aquatic theme and as the production gets better every year, we can’t wait to see what they have in store.

As far as the lineup announcement goes, Cold Blue, Steve Angello, Jauz, Cosmic Gate were a few highlighted in the video. What sticks out most is the announcement of Steve Angello, as that now makes all three of the former Swedish House Mafia members in attendance. Could we see a reunion? That would be something many have longed for since the group decided to call it quits back in 2013. We’ve also got Andrew Bayer, Anna Lunoe, Krewella, Zatox and more! . We’ll see you in Belgium!

MEDASIN BLESSES FANS WITH 16 UNRELEASED TRACKS IN NEW IRENE MIX

Medasin Unleashes A Fresh Batch of New Music!

There are and always will be artists that just emerge out of nowhere, and manage to become household names within just a couple of years; whether it’s with strong marketing, good connections or something else that is highly important and makes the difference.

Medasin is a great example of this; there’s undoubtedly something special about the American artist’s sound. He’s introduced an aesthetic unique to the game, that even though it might sound simple at first listen, it’s extremely well composed, designed and textured.

Going as far back as tracks like “null,” up to tracks like his remix for Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still, which was nominated for Remix of the Year at the Electronic Music Awards 2017, Medasin has produced nothing but quality, which is one of the main reasons for his success.

Now, fresh off embarking on his first headline tour called IRENE, Medasin decided to unleash a 30 minute mix exclusively composed of his own unreleased music. The Irene mix serves as a “Pre-EP EP. I wanted you to have this before I continue working on the more official EP full of features and structure”, he wrote, also noting:

“My wish is that you to listen to “Irene” from start to finish and understand me and what I’m going for musically. It has been hard to portray my true musical intentions via doing big remixes of pop songs. those are fun, but they don’t represent me like this does. This is special.”

It truly is special. It’s a thrilling journey into the depths of Medasin’s creativity; dark and thoughtful while going from down-sampled piano melodies to distorted 808’s and from smooth, natural atmospheres to sophisticated sound design. Showcasing a big number of styles, this mix is the perfect warm-up for Medasin’s highly anticipated EP, as well as what’s to be expected from the tour.
