Rezz Teases Two Tracks Including Virtual Self Remix

Space Mom Returns With A Gift For Us Earthlings

Rezz exploded onto the electronic music scene in 2015 and quickly became a crowd favorite. She began as a bedroom producer and was discovered by none other than Skrillex. After releasing her first EP Insurrection on the OWSLA label she quickly moved to Mau5trap and released two more EPs in 2016. With fan favorites like Purple Gusher under her belt, Rezz soon found herself on stage at some of the biggest festivals in the U.S. Putting on her trademark L.E.D. goggles and high energy performances earning her the endearing title of “Space Mom,” Rezz released her first full album, Mass Manipulation. And now the Canadian DJ and producer is teasing two new tracks in her Snapchat Story. One is a collaboration with dubstep producer Isqa. The other is a remix of a.i.ngel by Virtual Self a.k.a. Porter Robinson.

Rezz’s track with Isqa looks to be a hard hitting dubstep tune. With sounds like gunshots filling the empty space between massive whomps, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. The video labeled Psycho includes a date, December 12th. Assuming space mom isn’t trolling her followers, you can get this track in just under two weeks.

a.i.ngel (Rezz Edit). The track includes sounds obviously taken from the Virtual Self track with a classic Rezz feel. A substantial part of an edit completed within days of the Virtual Self EP getting dropped means two things: Rezz has an incredible work ethic, and she has probably been working with Porter behind the scenes. This could signal some form of collaboration between the two young producers. Both erupted onto the EDM scene at a young age to nearly immediate fame. They each have a unique sound that stretches the boundary of genre. Already established as powerhouse producers, who knows what will come next from Porter Robinson and Isabelle Rezazadeh. Check out the video from Rezz’s Snapchat below!

Audio – Rat Race EP

Audio Rat Race EPAudio – Rat Race EP

Having been producing for almost two decades, Gareth Greenall, better known as Audio, is a verified veteran of the drum n bass realm. With his no-nonsense attitude and a hard-hitting style of producing to match, it’s no wonder that the South Londoner has released on esteemed labels including Virus Recordings, Blackout Music NL, and RAM Records. The last we heard from him he dropped his Beastmode LP on Ram. And now he’s here to drop his latest EP, Rat Race on Blackout.

“Like all my releases, this one represents what I was feeling at the time of creation. The EP is loud and smashy, with big riffs and a lot of energy.”

Audio kicks of the EP with ‘Fizziks‘. The track opens up with a eerie, unsettling vibe before the first drop kicks it into gear with some in-your-face synths and a solid bassline. For the next track, ‘The Crux‘, he changes things up a bit. Cutting back on the synths and having subtle drops he lets the core beat shine through. From there he follows it up with the eponymous track ‘Rat Race‘ before closing it all out with ‘Hypebeast‘. And what a track to end on. Distorted yet polished and wholly aggressive, this is definitely the kind of track that will make a building shake.

And from this varied EP, Audio makes two things very clear. First is his versatility and range as a producer. And second is his consistent ability to create a hard-hitting track that’ll get the dancefloor jumping.

Why To Go Weekend 2

Space Mom Rezz joins the crew as well! And the curated stages are just as impressive as the first weekend. Bassrush returns for a second weekend. RÜFÜS & Friends brings a new flavor to the forest as well as stages curated by Mau5trap and Techno, House, Love experts Desert Hearts Crew. Progressive label Soulection will also have a stage to show off to the Forest fam.

How Do I Choose?

With two weekends of incredible music it might seem like a daunting task to pick just one. But go with what you feel! Regardless of which weekend you choose, you’re going to have a great time. There is so much great music and the vibes from just being in the Forest are incredibly by themselves! People love it so much they have even started an Off Season Gathering where friends of the Forest go and throw a small event just to get back to that special place! So pick the weekend that feels best, or the weekend where all your friends are going. Whatever your reason, just make sure you get there! Electric Forest 2018 will definitely be one of the best festivals of the year and you won’t want to miss it!

Crankdat Drops Tour Dates for Regional “Outcast Tour”

Finally, Crankdat has announced the dates of his regional “Outcast Tour” which kicks off in the Bahamas for Holy Ship! 2018.

Crankdat’s emergence into the electronic scene began with a humble collection of remixes which quickly grew larger and gained the support of names like Porter Robinson, Mija, San Holo, and Fetty Wap. What really sent Crankdat from being known mainly for his remixes into a recognized rising producer was his gritty track ‘Game Over’ which featured Lookas. The former track went on to gain huge momentum across the music festival and rave landscape, due to it’s larger than life climatic structure, perfect for rowdy festival crowds.

Be sure not to miss out on this insanely talented artist by grabbing your tickets as soon as they go out!

Tickets to the Outcast Tour go on sale Friday Dec 1st.

Watch Blink-182 Perform at Steve Aoki’s 40th Birthday Party

What’s my age again? Today, Steve Aoki turns the big 40, and we have a feeling he’ll be asking himself this question a lot more as the years go on.

To celebrate this big milestone, Aoki hosted a small get together with his closest family and friends at billionaire Ron Burkle‘s famed Greenacres estate in Beverly Hills. However, he turned the occasion into an opportunity raise money for his Aoki Foundation, which goes towards brain science research and regenerative medicine. The small living room bash featured a guest list including Tara Reid, Fred Durst, Akon, and even Kaskade. The shindig saw performances from T-Pain, as well as the pop-punk trio, Blink-182, who delivered an acoustic rendition of ‘What’s My Age Again?’ They raised $500,000 during the party through an auction for the foundation, with the host contributing $50,000 himself to the cause.

In a video posted by TMZ, Blink-182 is seen performing an unplugged version of their 1999 smash, ‘What’s My Age Again?’ to an intimate crowd. Singer Mark Hoppus changes the famous chorus from ‘Nobody likes you when you’re 23’ to ‘Nobody likes you when you’re 40, Steve’. The band has a history with Aoki, as he remixed ‘Bored to Death’ for the group last year. Aoki has also previously collaborated with drummer, Travis Barker on a remix of ‘Push ‘Em’, with Yelawolf.

Blink-182 and Steve Aoki are both known for their live performances to crazy, loud, and sold-out crowds, so being able to see the band unplug in a living room with only about 100 others is honestly a sight to see.

Strangely enough, there is no cake thrown in the video.

[Premiere] Dan Farber – Time For Living (Wild Cards Remix)

Wild Cards

Dan Farber – Time For Living (Wild Cards Remix)

Israeli producer Dan Farber has come a long way from being an in-house producer for a hip-hop label. Earlier this month he dropped his latest track, ‘Time For Living‘, together with UK vocalist Boy Matthews to much critical acclaim. And now Canadian duo Wild Cards is taking that track and giving it the remix you didn’t know it needed. And if there’s one thing you know the duo is good at it’s taking a great track and giving it a killer remix. You might remember their hugely popular remixes of Gryfiin & Illenium‘s ‘Feel Good’ and Alan Walker‘s ‘Tired’.

And just like all of their previous remixes, they knock this one out of the park. The removal of the atmospheric synths allow the subtle piano chords to shine through. And when the chorus hits, the track picks up and releases into a smooth, melodic drop. Give this sweet remix a listen in the video below and be on the lookout for Dan Farber and Wild Cards’s next big release.
